ABOUT THE AUTHOR | Al Sembrano
Al Sembrano was born in Cagayan de Oro City, Mindanao, Philippines. As early as six years old, he has had a fascination with the inner dynamics of how money works and how to make it grow. This fascination (and love affair) with money sparked a career in the financial industry, which inspired him to hold executive positions for international financial companies in the areas of securities investments (stocks, bonds, mutual funds), insurance (life, home, health, disability), annuities (fixed & variable), mortgage banking (residential & commercial), finance, real estate and financial planning.
Al Sembrano is a Registered Financial Planner (RFP) in the Philippines and has been an avid supporter of financial literacy throughout the Philippines. His latest books are the textbook on the
Personal Equity and Retirement Account (PERA) and the PERA Dictionary of Finance, Investment and Business. Al Sembrano wrote the PERA Textbook in a style that is easy to understand in spite of the complex tax and investment terms. More importantly, he presents the PERA concepts in ways of how to take advantage of PERA‘s tax privileges and approved investment products so that the PERA Contributor can retire financially secured.
